President Kirk Schulz and Provost April Mason celebrate new programs at K-State Olathe
Things are moving quickly at Kansas State University Olathe. Our newest campus, which opened a year ago today, is introducing five advanced degree programs.
In addition to a master's degree in adult education — available for enrollment today — students will be able to earn a master's in food science, veterinary biomedical sciences, biological and agricultural engineering, and horticulture with an emphasis in urban food systems, as these programs are introduced at the Olathe campus during the next academic year.

Food scientist John Floros named dean of College of Agriculture and director of K-State Research and Extension
John D. Floros will begin his new role August 1. He comes to Kansas State University from Pennsylvania State University, where he is a professor and head of the department of food science. His past experience includes working as an international industry consultant for more than 25 years and serving as a professor at Purdue University.
